Villa Palma, a Liberty style villa of the 1920s, is located in the centre of Lunigiana (Land of the Moon) in North West Tuscany. The views over the Apuan mountains and the Massa Carrara are quite outstanding. Within easy reach of the Cinque Terre and the beaches of the Ligurian coast, Forte dei Marmi, Pisa (airport just over 1 hour), Lucca, Genoa (airport 1 hour 20 minutes), Parma and the Appenine ski resorts in the winter, it could not be better located. Milan is a two and a half hour drive and Florence a two and a quarter hour drive, both also easily accessible from our local railway station in Villafranca Bagnone (12 minutes drive). At an altitude of 400 metres there is a gentle breeze on the hottest days of the summer when the valley floors are stifling and in the winter it sits above the mist below.
The whole house has recently been renovated and has only just become available to rent and described as Boho chic meets modern functionality. Throw in the original art deco tile floors…you get the picture
The new pool sits on the side of an olive grove just above the house with the most dramatic and panoramic views.
The open-sided but covered terrace, with a table seating up to 16 people, sits next to the house with French windows through to the open plan kitchen, dining and living room (with log burner for the winter) within.
The house comfortably sleeps 12 in 5 bedrooms with 4 bath/shower rooms and a further 2 separate WCs
